In the first 3 years of life, a child's brain undergoes an impressive growth and by age 3, it is about 80% developed. How do children, through play, develop the skills they will need for life and how do we, educators, support their development. This workshop will talk about the role “play” plays in child's various areas of development and will provide a framework for educators to think about what a curriculum for infants and toddlers would look like in a developmentally appropriate setting.
